The one that hung over my desk said: "Thou shalt not whine"
More kind words from you...on the last deployment, the clerk in the Med Group said: Sir, I can't deploy you with all these issues" to which I replied, "just put it in writing so when I retire I can use it with the VA". I got to deploy! Going through the VA process now...I am pretty jacked up and the most recent is a rebuild on both feet...never realized how much feet can hurt. In any event, it's all good and I'll find my way overseas again...this time most likely as a contractor. You hang in there!
Sgt Riden,
Thanks for the kind words. I have had the opportunity to work with the Army on three occasions. All that aside, here is my outlook on organizational communication. I trust my troops to tell me what is going on to the best of their ability...building an environment where that is not the case gets people hurt or killed. I spend a tremendous amount of time with my senior NCOs...the ones doing the leading and training my junior officers. I freely admit I am considered blue-collar by my peers...and I am proud of that. I have little time for political opportunists and let them know this when they get in the way of success. You keep pluggin...your mindset is right on target and I am sure there are some who realize the value of an honest NCO in your unit. I consider them pure gold.
Hooah!
